The blue city without rushing: medina walks, the Spanish Mosque at sunset and a day hike to Akchour.

The story

Most people do Chefchaouen as a day trip from Fès. Staying three nights let us see it early in the morning, when the alleys are empty and the light is soft.

Tips for future travelers

Stay inside the medina - the town is tiny and you'll walk everywhere.

Lessons learned

What I would do differently

Start the Akchour hike earlier to avoid the midday heat.
