How we write and check our Morocco guides
Travilto’s guides are written by a named person, built on data we can show, and dated. This page explains who writes them, where the facts and prices come from, and what to do when you spot a mistake.
Who writes and reviews the guides
Destination guides and blog posts are written and maintained by Mohamed Belalia, Travilto’s founder. His name is in the byline of every guide.
When a licensed Moroccan guide reviews a page, their name and licence appear in the byline next to the author. A page without a named reviewer has not been reviewed by a guide yet, and we do not claim otherwise.
Where the facts come from
Distances, drive times and practical details come from operators’ published itineraries, our own trips and official sources. Entry and visa rules are taken only from official government sources, which we link on the page.
When we cannot confirm a fact, we leave it out rather than guess.
How tour prices are collected
Every price on Travilto is the price an operator publishes for a tour listed on the site, in euros per person. The price index and the “from” prices on comparison pages are recalculated from the live catalogue, and each table states how many tours it is based on.
A price that an operator repeats across tours of very different lengths is treated as a placeholder: it is shown as “price on request” and left out of averages.
Tour pages: whose words are whose
The tour description, itinerary and inclusions on a tour page are the operator’s own. Sections headed “Travilto’s take” — the summary, who the tour suits and who should skip it, and the tour FAQ — are written by us.
Ratings imported from other websites are never shown as Travilto reviews or marked up as ratings. Only reviews written by travelers who booked through Travilto count.
AI answers
Answers in the Travilto chat are generated by an AI model from Travilto’s guides and tour data. They can be wrong. For anything with consequences — entry rules, health, safety — check the official source linked in our guides.
How Travilto makes money
Bookings with tour operators carry a flat 10% fee, shown before you pay. Local guides are paid directly by travelers.
Updates and corrections
The “Updated” date on a page changes only when its content changes. If you find an error, tell us through the contact page: we check it, correct the page and update the date.
