Privacy notice
This notice explains, in plain language, what data Travilto collects when you use the site, why, who processes it on our behalf, and how to reach us about it.
What we collect
Account details: your name, email address and a hashed password when you create an account.
Questions you ask: the messages you send to the Travilto chat are stored with your chat session so the conversation can continue and so we can improve answers.
Bookings and messages: booking requests and messages you send to operators or guides through Travilto, and community trips or reviews you publish.
Usage data: pages viewed and actions such as searches and clicks, used to understand how the site is used.
Cookies
Necessary cookies: auth_session and auth_kind keep you signed in to the right account; NEXT_LOCALE remembers your language in the app.
Analytics: Google Analytics measures visits when it is enabled. Hotjar records anonymised sessions (clicks, scrolling) to show us where pages are confusing.
Who processes your data
Vercel hosts the website. OpenAI processes the questions you ask in the chat to generate answers. Google Analytics and Hotjar process usage data. Emails from the contact form are delivered through Google.
We do not sell your personal data.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to delete your account, through the contact page. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings without losing access to the site.
